Landa Pennington

Landa has been in real estate since 1997 and is licensed in Alabama and Tennessee. She is a native of Madison County and had a previous career at Redstone Arsenal. Landa’s business has been built on customer service.  She prides herself in servicing her clients during their transaction and continuing to help after the transaction is past. She understands that the purchase of a home is usually a person’s largest lifetime investment and no detail is too small to be addressed. Her business is now primarily repeat customers and their referrals.

Landa continually updates her real estate education to be alert to new changes and developments that will benefit her clients. Her strong belief that the real estate industry must be run as a business with professional leaders who serve the membership has prompted her to become involved to make a difference for Realtors® as well.  She serves on the Executive Committee of the Alabama Association of Realtors (AAR) as a Regional Vice-President for North AL where she represents the counties of Madison, Jackson, Morgan and Marshall, and the Athens-Limestone and Shoals areas. While it’s not a requirement, her personal real estate services have covered all of these areas.   She became an Education Trustee for AAR in 2014. It’s rare that Landa does not exceed the continuing education requirements necessary to renew license every two years. From 2012-2015, Landa served as a Regional Vice President for the Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors; in this capacity she was a liaison between the states of KS, MO, OK, TN, AR and MS and the Council of Residential Specialist in Chicago.  This position requires being designated as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation held by less than 3% of all Realtors® worldwide. Landa began serving on the Huntsville Board of Directors in 2010 and has served on various local committees including Professional Standards, Bylaws, Education and Orientation.

Landa’s hobbies include travel, reading and bike riding. Her most enjoyable past time is being “Mimi” to two precious granddaughters. Landa loves a quick get-away to the beach and attending SEC football games!
